Anesthesia and Analgesia

2 days
Learning Objectives

Prior to the on-site course basics in anesthesia will be introduced via an e-learning tool (approximately 3 hrs). In case the e-learning tool will not be available in 2020, some documents will be sent to the participants as preparation for this course.

During the on-site course new approaches in anesthesia, analgesia and monitoring will be discussed. Participants will be able to interact and discuss their own protocols. In the practical part of this course anesthesia in rodents will be performed using various drug combinations and different monitoring devices. In combination with the e-learning module the course will account for 2.5 days of continuing education.

Criteria for the Participation

The participants must be involved in animal experiments using anesthesia (as experimenter, study director).
